Gilbert has played a key role in securing over $3 billion in private sector investment across Zambia and Africa. He has held senior executive positions in multinational companies such as Caterpillar Mazembe, Chibote Group of Companies, and ITM International, contributing to their growth and operational success. Additionally, he has served in non-executive roles at institutions like the Bank of Zambia, Vodafone, and BHP Billiton Zambia. Currently, he is an Advisor at the National Economic Advisory Council and Non-Executive Chairman of the Wonderful Group, where his extensive experience drives strategic insights in mining, business and investment.

Wilphred Katoto

Chief Consulting Officer - Processing and Environment

Wilphred Katoto is a metallurgical expert with over 38 years of experience in Zambia’s mining industry, specialising in mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, and operations optimisation. He began his career in 1981 at the Chibuluma Division Concentrator under Roan Consolidated Copper Mines (RCM), later managing mineral processing and hydrometallurgical plant operations at Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines (ZCCM) Limited. Wilphred has held several key roles, including leading the Metallurgical Investigations Department at ZCCM and overseeing plant performance optimisation. He also served as Technical Manager during the privatization of Zambia’s mining assets and represented ZCCM-IH on the boards of major mining companies from 2000 to 2020. His extensive experience in both technical operations and strategic governance makes him a key figure in Zambia's mining and metallurgical sectors.

Frederick Ng’ona

Prior to this, he worked at ZCCM Nkana Division in various accounting capacities. Joackim has served as the finance expert for the ZCCM-IH feasibility study on the Kitumbi Copper Mine project in Mumbwa and consulted on the Lusaka Drainage Project under Millennium Challenge Account Zambia. He also has expertise in financial system design and enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation.
